Once again, Baltimore musicians had a great year of releases. With a handful of bands getting signed to major labels this year, including Beach House, Double Dagger and most recently, J. Roddy Walston & the Business, Charm City is further establishing itself as the next big scene in the country for music.

Wow - how did Wordsmith not make that list? How does a local artist put out an album with a legend like Chubb Rock called "Bridging the Gap" and not get listed on any Baltimore lists for top unsigned talent? Craziness.
Big congrats to Soulstice! At least one ill artist got his local props.
