Led Zeppelin Tops WTMD Staff Picks for Greatest Artists

The WTMD staff is a small, but highly opinionated group of music lovers, and when asked to identify the 10 Greatest Artists of All Time, responses spanned from 311 to U2, Diana Ross to The Boss.

But the popular consensus is that Led Zeppelin is The Greatest Artist of All Time . . . at least as determined by 13 people in May 2009.

Be sure to rock the vote by submitting your 15 Greatest Artists by 12 p.m. Saturday, May 23rd.

We'll start counting down the 897 Greatest Artists of All Time on June 1st!

What a bunch of nerds. And to think you all run a really cool station. Maybe the volunteer staff is making up the playlists; I want to see their top 10's. I sure everyone helping out is what makes this happen. No Grateful Dead? C'mon Billy Zero and Bug; I'm going to call everyone I know and have them request Jerry 24/7, or 4:20, or some number, every day!

I could say lot's and lot's of great stuff...but for the moment I am going to have to point out the glaring lack of female artists represented, even by the women on staff. Come on folks...it's 2009! Where are the ladies????
